Chips to be made from honey

Researchers working at one of the Washington universities announced a discovery that will greatly simplify the process of creating chips for computers. It is reported that they are going to use memristors that can be created from honey.

Memristors are capable of storing and processing data. The researchers have already created a few of their prototypes using honey. The honey was processed so that it became solid enough and then it was placed between metal electrodes.

Scientists were quite surprised by the opportunities opened for chip production by this type of memristors. This would not only make the production process cheaper but would also allow to completely recycle it before further use.

At the same time researchers note that at least 3-4 years will pass before the full implementation of the discovery in the industry. There are still a lot of tests to be done.

But scientists are confident that the innovative technology will definitely be introduced, and chips for computer equipment will be created from honey. Now it is planned to conduct several tests with prototypes.
