Private satellites from the Russian Federation can be launched on OneWeb rockets

A meeting of representatives of the Roscosmos Corporation and heads of private companies working in the space field took place. In addition, officials from other federal agencies were also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, issues related to the withdrawal of private spaceships were discussed. According to Dmitry Rogozin, after the launches of the OneWeb project satellites stopped, the rockets delivering them into orbit became unclaimed.

So that they do not stand idle, Roscosmos offers private companies to use them after appropriate procedures. In addition, startups can get access to the Roscosmos resource base. All of them can be provided with appropriate support, both technically and financially.

Against the background of tougher competition in space, the authorities are looking for any opportunities to allow private companies to turn around. How successful such an initiative will be will be clear during this year.

The main thing is that private companies are not satisfied with bureaucratic obstacles, otherwise, such a good initiative may be useless.
